Doron Steinbrecher, "Dorona," is a sister and veterinarian from Kfar Azza.

Dorona was abducted from her apartment in the young adults' residences in Kfar Azza when she was 30 years old, just a day before her 31st birthday.

​

The last conversation with Doron was on Saturday at 10:20 AM, when she called her mother crying and frightened, telling her that she could hear the terrorists trying to break into her apartment. With immense courage and strength, Doron managed to send a voice message to her friends saying, "They took me!" The video released by Hamas, in which Doron appears, gave her family - her parents Simona and Roni, her brother Dor, and her sister Yamit - as well as her friends, hope and energy to continue fighting for her until she returns.

In addition to being a wonderful friend, Doron is a full-time aunt to her nephews, loving to spend time with them and spoil them whenever possible.

Doron is known for her boundless love for animals, and she is the person everyone turns to for anything related to their pets. She even has a tattoo of her beloved dog.

​

Despite the security situation, Doron never hesitated to go to the clinic where she works so she could continue to care for all the animals in need.

​

Her absence is deeply felt by her family, her friends, and her work colleagues, who miss her terribly and await the moment when she returns home.
