Gali Berman, 26, was born and raised in Kibbutz Kfar Azza, into a warm and loving family. He has a twin brother, Ziv Berman, who was also abducted from the neighborhood known as "Dor Tza'ir" on October 7th.

Gali and Ziv are inseparable brothers, and their family calls them "Twin Power" because they do everything together. They are full of happiness, love, and laughter. Always wearing a smile on their faces, they are very sociable and beloved. They are always ready to help others in times of need.

Gali and Ziv are also the heart of their age group in the kibbutz, known as the "Eshel" group, and each of them can confirm this themselves.

Both Gali and Ziv are known for their love and passion for football. They both play for the kibbutz's football team called the "Foxes of Kfar Azza."

Gali plays as a defender for the "Foxes of Kfar Azza" and is an excellent player who gives his all on the field, dedicating himself to his teammates and the team's emblem. Gali is a very important figure within the team.

Ziv plays as a defensive midfielder for the "Foxes of Kfar Azza" and exhibits a level of intelligence and elegance in his play that not every player can demonstrate. Ziv is also a crucial member of the team.

Both Gali and Ziv are avid supporters of Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel and never missed a game they could attend. They are also devoted fans of Liverpool from the English Premier League, never missing any of the team's matches.

Recently, Gali and Ziv also enjoyed traveling. They traveled to Costa Rica with friends and also flew to "Tomorrowland," the world's largest music and arts festival.

Gali and Ziv are patriotic individuals who love Israel, Kibbutz Kfar Azza, their kibbutz community, and, of course, their family. They always loved playing with their beloved cousins and showing them all the good the world has to offer.

Their parents, Talia and Doron, have four children: Liran (36), Idan (32) who also lives in Kibbutz Kfar Azza, and the twins Gali and Ziv.

They are a very strong and united family that supports and assists each other always. Their father, Doron, who was ill, was always supported and cared for by Gali and Ziv.

All four Berman brothers got a joint tattoo of a bear to always remember that they are "Bear-men."

Gali's close friend Inbar Rosenfeld says, "Gali is the first person you call when you need help with something. He always responds positively and does it with love. He is the friend and person with the biggest heart you can find, the kind of friend you always hoped you had."

Gali and Ziv worked at the sound and lighting company "Syncopa 2002," located in Kibbutz Kfar Azza, to save money for their dream trip to Australia. Their grandfather, Gad Sobol, lovingly said, "Gali works and Ziv supervises the work."

Their manager at "Syncopa 2002" said, "You could always hear Gali greeting everyone in the office from a kilometer away, filling the office with light with his smile."

"At work, they are always the center of attention. They are the life of the party, always making everyone happy, making everyone smile, and making everyone have a better day," he added. "They are definitely a great team and great people."

Comedian Shalom Michaelshwili, who became close friends with Gali and Ziv through their work together in numerous performances, says, "Everyone here believes that they are the closest people to Gali and Ziv because of the kind of people they are. Gali and Ziv make everyone feel special and unique."

On the morning of October 7th, Hamas terrorists began the largest terror attack ever to occur in Israel. The attack began with rocket and missile fire into Israeli territory, and in addition, thousands of Hamas militants infiltrated the southern region of Israel through the Gaza border fence, penetrating into the kibbutzim, including Kibbutz Kfar Azza.

Kibbutz Kfar Azza, which is located two kilometers east of the Gaza Strip, was  infiltrated by hundreds of terrorists in the early hours of the morning.

62 members of the Kfar Azza community were killed, and an additional 19 community members were abducted, including Gali and Ziv, who lived in the neighborhood called "Dor Tza'ir." (young generation)

Gali and Ziv, who woke up in the morning to non-stop red alert sirens, which they were accustomed to, due to regular rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip, realized that something unusual was happening on that morning and that it was not a normal attack.

On that Saturday, the Berman family received a message from Gali, saying that he loves them and that everything will be over soon. This was the last message and contact with Gali.

For 11 days, which felt like an eternity to the Berman family, there was no information about Gali's fate. Only on the 12th day did the family receive a message indicating that he was apparently abducted to the Gaza Strip from his home.

In addition to Gali Berman, his twin brother Ziv Berman was also abducted, along with Emily Tehila Damari and Doron Steinbrecher, who were abducted from the "Dor Tza'ir" neighborhood.

The sudden disappearance of Gali left an empty void in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone who knew him. His family, friends, and the Kfar Azza community remained in uncertainty and anguish, all relying on the hope that he would return home safely and as soon as possible.

Every member of Gali's family contributes in every way possible to the difficult struggle to bring him back home as soon as possible. Talia, Gali's mother, his older brothers Liran and Idan, and his beloved aunt Makabit make a great effort day and night to bring their beloved Gali home.

Gali and Ziv's aunt shares, "I hope that the country's authorities understand their immense responsibility to bring our loved ones back home to us safe and sound, just as they were abducted from their beds in the morning. Israel's duty is to rescue them from the ongoing hell they are currently in." She added, "They may be grown men, but they are helpless, and I hope that all the remaining captives, men and women, will return to the country healthy and whole."

Their aunt also added a message to Gali and Ziv: "If you hear us, I want you to know that Mom, Dad, Idan, and Liran are alive. We believe that you are alive, and we are doing everything we can to rescue you from there. Stay strong, we love you."

Talia Berman writes, "Just a little longer, my beloved sons, just a little longer, and this nightmare will end. You will return to me, and I will give you such a strong hug, and I will never let go. It is the mission of our lives. Every hour, every minute, throughout the day and night, is dedicated to you, my beloved sons."

While their family members and friends wait for their return, the spirit and light of Gali and Ziv remain as a guiding beacon, inspiring everyone who knows them to believe in the power of unity and hope for joyful reunification. With the hope that they are together, protected by their famous and natural 'Twin Power'.
